T H I N K D I F F E R E N T

        We  need to be more aware of our reflex reactions as well as how we would like to respond to people and situations. We all need to be honest about how we feel and our way of thinking. The reason why we are not honest is because 

we do not want to be judged, 

we do not want to be vulnerable,

we do not want to ask for or take help,

we do not want to get stuck or trapped,

and so many other reasons.

        Here is something to try this week though. Ask yourself what do I feel about this situation or about what this person has said or done. Whatever your response, note it down on your phone. At the end of 7 days read all that you have written and answer these 2 questions:

- what have I learnt about myself?

- what do I need to change?

        Learn to respond appropriately instead of reacting impulsively. Also, it usually is not as much about what you say, but rather how you say it. Observe your tone just as much as you observe your words.
